- Crest traits are used to change or remove the crests on beblunes and subspecies!
- Most crest traits may be combined, but may not be combined with Absent Crest!
The crest is a mound of bone on the top of the head.
The tip of the crest comes to a sharp point! Instead of the typical blunt end.
The crest may be slightly shorter than normal, or be no more than a bump on the back of the head.
This may affect their ability to mimic noise.
The rise of the crest begins at the nose and stops at the back of the head.
It may be considered knife-like, but should not come to a sharp point at the tip
This crest is round and possibly inflatable.
It may appear as a ball on the top or back of the head or may resemble the ‘melon’ of a cetacean (like a beluga).
The crest can be curled upwards or downwards, and be tightly or loosely curled.
There is no crest whatsoever.
It may have difficulties mimicking sounds.
This trait can appear as two distinct variations:
Feathers can replace the membrane of the crest, and/or cover the top of the crest with feathers.
OR
Feathered Crest may completely replace the standard crest with feathers (reminiscent of a cockatoo's crest).
The crest may flare upward or stay static, but cannot completely disappear into the back of the head/neck when ‘flat’.
The feathers should not extend past the default crest's length.
The 2nd variant of feathered crest CAN NOT combine with other bone-based crests, and may have difficulties mimicking sounds.
The crest is a large bony plate that projects forward from the forehead.
The crest widens towards the tip like an axe or a fan, similar to an Olorotitan!
The crest splits off into 2 separate growths.
May resemble certain dual-crested theropods like dilophosaurus, cryolophosaurus, allosaurus, etc.
This crest is broad and flat, resembling a ceratopsian frill.
Can include spikes similar to those on ceratopsians.
This crest is a long pointed plate, often resembling some (but not all) pterosaur crests.
A single, flat crest on the central line of the head with two distinct "points".
Resemble the crests of lambeosaurs and some pterosaurs such as nyctosaurus.
