Trossals are the largest subspecies of beblune, and have only recently been discovered by the rest of the beblune world. These mysterious giants have slowly been integrated into life with beblunes and the other subspecies.
Key Features
When one thinks of a trossal the first thing that comes to mind will be their long extended features. From their neck, crest and wings to their legs and tail, everything about a trossal is long. Trossals feature a dense heavy coat that covers their paws and toes, allowing them to walk over their icy homeland. Their long wings allow trossals to glide for miles without needing to beat their wings, much like an albatross, to conserve energy while traveling.
Trossal skulls are more than 50% crest, using the extra reverberations to extend their calls for miles over the icy terrain they call home. Their narrow eyes help reduce the amount of light reflected off of the snow and ice of their home. Don't let their soft narrow snout fool you, hidden within is a large set of sharp predatory teeth.
Trossals are able to survive (and even thrive) in temperatures that plummet far below what their other subspecies cousin can survive, their super dense fur is easily able to protect their bodies from frostbite and hypothermia!
Trossals are adapted to their harsh environment by requiring large meals less often, eating much like a bear or seal; primarily eating fish and wild foraged plants. Trossals will often go days fasting before sharing bountiful meals with their families and friends.
Trossals often live in nomadic tents, but have been known to settle down in cave homes or large igloo-like structures made from snow and ice!
Land Mobility: ★★★☆☆
Air Mobility: ★★★☆☆
Water Mobility: ★★☆☆☆
Trossals are able to handle subzero temperatures with their cold resistance ability, allowing them to thrive in otherwise unhospitable environments!
Over the years it has been noticed that over the generations trossals that live more in the mainland have begun shrinking, its theorized that through breeding with other subspecies and naturalization into other areas have cause trossals genetics to adjust to no longer need such large sizes.
