Coat traits are traits that change how the coat grows!
Most coat traits must cover at least 30% of the body! The most common areas that are affected by coat traits are the neck, chest and tail, but may appear anywhere on the body.
Coat traits may NOT be used to mimic hybrid traits such as floon fetlocks, trossal fluffy legs, mowl manes or floon tail tufts!
Coat traits MAY affect heavily furred areas on subspecies such as manes and fur tufts!
Sparse Coat, Velvet Coat, Feathered Coat and Scaled Coat will always cover the entire body.
This fur ranges from long wavy locks to chaotic drapes of curls!
Despite its heavy appearance, it is surprisingly lightweight and smooth.
This coat can hold close to the body as curls or reach as far as the ankles as long wavy locks.
Very little fur or no fur at all!
Small patches or tufts of fur can be present but cover no more than 10% of the body.
Visible skin folds and blemishes (such as small scars, moles or pimples) are commonly seen with this trait.
A thick fluffy coat that is much longer than the default coat.
This coat can be especially prominent on the neck, back, and rump.
A very short, incredibly dense coat that completely covers the body.
While short, this coat is very warm.
Similar to a seal's or horse’s coat.
Instead of fur, this coat is covered in feathers!
Feathers may vary in size, shape, and texture.
Feathered Coat may have featherless areas where the skin is visible. Similar to some parrots or vultures.
A thick coat that is made up of tightly curled or coiled fur or hair.
This coat type can be styled into cords, similar to a komondor dog.
Texture may resemble sheep/yak, alpaca/lama, or poodles.
Instead of fur, this coat is completely covered in scales!
These scales may resemble many different creatures, including fish, snakes, and lizards.
The body is covered in thick armored keratin plates similar to a pangolin!
Crest traits are used to change or remove the crests on beblunes and subspecies!
Most crest traits may be combined, but may not be combined with Absent Crest!
Eye traits will not effect the vision of a character unless specifically stated otherwise!
Multi Eyes and Cyclops can be combined with any other eye trait, but cannot be combined with each other!
Most eye traits may be combined!
These eyes rest on fleshy upright appendages.
Can resemble the eyes of crabs, snails, etc.
Mouth traits refer to traits that affect the teeth inside the mouth!
All mouth traits can be combined in some way, except for Wretched and Jagged Teeth, which can never be paired together.
All face traits include features of their respective animals that they are based on
Including but not limited to: whiskers, eyebrows, teeth, fur/feather tufts, scales, bumps, dewlaps, waddles, spikes, etc.
Specific singular features such as dewlaps, whiskers, etc. will not pass in breedings unless accompanied by their respective non-Face Traits.
Ex. A beb with snake fangs will not pass on just its teeth unless they have the Fangs Mouth Trait.
While all beblunes have an inner and outer ear hidden behind their fur, some beblunes have ear traits to give them visible ears!
Multi Ears can be combined with other ear traits.
Wing Ears will normally resemble standard beblune wings, but they can resemble any wing trait, such as insect wings or bird wings with the use of tokens to combine them with a wing trait!
Up to two sets of horns can appear on the head and do not have to be the same type.
(Example, you may have a beblune with two sets of straight horns, or a set of curved horns and spiral horns!)
All Back Traits (excluding Back Mane and Plates) may have up to 1 extra row on either side of the spine for a total of 3 rows on the back total.
Max 3 back traits can be applied at a time.
Spikes, Ridges, and Spines can have small bends/warps in them to create different shapes, but should still be roughly identifiable as what trait they are.
Leg Traits cannot combine on the same limb unless specified otherwise.
Spurs, Webbed Toes, Leg Frills, and Sickle Toes can combine with most other Leg traits.
The majority of Leg Traits can appear on the back or front legs unless stated otherwise.
Most wing traits cannot be combined unless specified otherwise.
“Fwingers” refer to the 4 upper appendages that extend off of the default wing.
Tails vary in size and shape within their respective trait limits and most can be combined with other tail traits unless otherwise stated.
Spike Traits cannot be used to mimic horns, scales, back traits, or other similar traits.
Spikes can be different shapes, sizes, and patterns, they do not have to be default triangle shapes, and can be asymmetrical.
Can be blunt or sharp.
Spikes can be covered in skin or keratin and can display any color. They can optionally be affected by mutations such as Discolored Bones.
Miscellaneous traits or "Misc traits" are traits that don't overlap with traits in other categories.
There is no limit to how many misc traits a design can have!
