They can make a pup! Beblune can breed regardless of gender identity listed in the masterlist and can pass on their traits to their pups! Different rarities of traits will affect how they get passed down to their offspring but you can also change some aspects of breedings by including items with it!
Below you'll find a guide to breeding items, examples of breedings, and information on how hybrid breeding works! It can seem like a lot, but in the end, it's just mashing two bebs together and saying "now kiss" and getting a pup out of it!

Once you have acquired all the items necessary for your breeding (eg; the voucher and any items needed to influence the trait rolls), you should head on over to the Inventory Hub journal and reply to the appropriate comment to submit your breeding request. Make sure to use the form provided and, if you're breeding a beb that you don't own, be sure to tag the owner(s) so that they can reply with confirmation that you have their permission to use their beblune(s)!
After posting your breeding, one of the official artists will take it on and complete it. You'll know it's finished when your egg appears on the masterlist! See below for more information on completing a painted feather for your egg.
It typically takes two weeks for an egg to hatch, giving you plenty of time to work on your feather! You don't have to do anything to make an egg hatch; the artist in charge of your breeding will simply post it once two weeks is up. If you don't want to wait, you can also use a prism hammer to crack it open early! They can be purchased at Darko's Market or won from certain group activities.
Once your egg has hatched, it will take two more weeks before they can grow up! To grow your pup, you must comment on the Growth Requests journal using the proper form and tagging the artist in charge of your breeding. Make sure that any edits to the pups traits or appearance using redesign items must be submitted AND approved on the Redesign Zone journal BEFORE you submit your pup for growth.

The rarity of a trait determines the odds of it being passed down to the a beb's offspring. This applies to all traits, including special hybrid traits! While you can increase the chances of a trait passing down with items, they all have a flat percentage chance to pass with no items modifying them!
Uncommon traits have a 60% chance to pass!
Rare traits have a 30% chance to pass!
Ultra Rare traits have a 20% chance to pass!
Legendary traits have a 10% chance to pass!

Mutations both minor and major have a small chance of showing up in any breeding! Whether or not a pup has a mutation is up to the artist's discretion. If the parent(s) has a mutation, we will often try to incorporate it or its theme into the pup's design in some way, but there is no way to guarantee that your pup will get a specific mutation!
If you want your pup to grow up to have a specific mutation, you will need to use a mutation item like Muck Goo.
Making a painted feather for your pup allows you to have some indirect influence on the mutations or accessories your pup might get! The artist will take inspiration from it and try to interpret it into the pup's design in some way.

What happens when different subspecies breed together? Well, it depends on the circumstances!
If a normal beblune breeds with any subspecies, it will create a beblune with the hybrid traits that come from that species!
If a subspecies breeds with different subspecies and no heart quartz is used, it will have a 50/50 chance of each pup being either subspecies with hybrid traits coming from the other parent!
If a subspecies breeds with a different subspecies and there is a heart quartz included, then it will make a pup that is part of a hybrid subspecies!
