It’s late at night and the sky is clear over the Comet Sea. Taurnar’s two moons are little more than crescent slivers, but the swirling stars more than light your way down to the shore, where a group of beblune and humans are congregating.
As you join the crowd, a pair of beblune step up onto a hill and get everyone’s attention.
Welcome, everyone! We’re so happy you could all make it. For those who don’t know, my name is Ofelia, and this is Ghost.
Such a good turnout this century.
As I’m sure you all know, tonight is the night when the Samawi meteor cluster can be seen passing over Taurnar! This phenomenon only happens once every hundred and fifty years, so we’re very excited to observe it together!
We’ve set up telescopes along the beach for you to get a closer look, but it looks like you’ll have to pair up and share. We didn’t expect this many people to come out!
The shower is hard to spot as it begins, so if you see any trails up there let us all know!
Okay! Pair off, pick a telescope, and let’s do this!
This is a collaboration event! Comment HERE with your collab partner and which beb you will be using for the event. Your partner MUST reply to your comment confirming the partnership and which beb they will be using.
If you want to be paired with someone randomly, say so in your comment and we will pair you with someone else who also wants to be randomly paired up.
It’s time for a meteor shower! Draw or write about your beblunes settling in to watch the show and/or searching the skies for the first meteor to appear.
Requirements:
Drawing: At least a half body of both your beblunes, color/detailed greyscale, a simple background
Writing: At least 750 words per person (so 1500 total) including both your beblunes equally

Everyone receives 5k seeds. All entries will be put into a raffle and the winning pair with receive a Wheel of Gifts Ticket for each member!
The Sawami meteor shower is fully in swing, and the sky is alight with a seemingly endless stream of beautiful meteor tails. The night sky looks like a huge rainbow with how colorful they are. Knowing that you’re witnessing a once in a lifetime spectacle is quite moving.
You can hear Ofelia nearby, chattering Ghost’s ear off about how the chemical makeup of the meteors is what’s making their fiery tails different colors. She has been extremely animated all night, unable to keep still in her excitement. Ghost is a little more reserved, channeling his glee into his note taking, but he comments on her observations now and then.
But then there is an odd flash of light overhead, and you hear Ghost hum to himself curiously.
Well… That’s not normal.
What are you- Oh! Oh my tectore, is that a meteor falling to earth?
That would be remarkable… The Sawami cluster should be too far out to hit our atmosphere. Take a look at this.
That’s definitely not a meteor.
It’s hard to tell what it is… Debris that’s been displaced by the cluster, perhaps?
Oh, this is so exciting! Look, there’s another one! I hope they reach the ground intact.
Excuse me, everyone. There seems to be some sort of debris falling to the earth. It’s impossible to see what it is yet, but please be wary and watch your heads. They appear to be too small to cause much damage, but I can’t imagine that getting hit by a space rock would feel very good.
If one does fall near you, please show us! This could be a huge discovery! My word, I need to prepare my tools
Keep an eye out, folks. This shower is even more fascinating than we thought!

The sky is still bright as the Sawami cluster continues to flash by, but most people have forgotten about the spectacle in favor of investigating the space debris. Everyone is gathered at the shore of the Comet Sea, where many of the little flashes fell, clamoring to get a look at piece that [winners of prompt 2?] have recovered.
Ofelia gently pushes through the crowd, asking everyone to please stay calm. Ghost follows behind, and smiles at [winners] warmly. Hushed, excited whispers ripple through the crowd as they hand Ghost their prize.
Oh, Ofelia… This is—
OH MY TECTORE!! Ghost, that’s—
A divine gem!
A divine gem!
The implications of this! I-I need my notebook.
This is the most incredible thing in the whole UNIVERSE!! [winners], this discovery is going to change the world!
The rest of the night is spent searching for more of the divine gems that fell from the sky. Many fell into the Comet Sea, lost to the depths. The rest fell all over Taurnar, just waiting to be found!
We are so so SO pleased to announce the return of divine gems to the World of Taurnar! In addition to the original five gems, we are introducing seven new gems as well!
Find out more about the new array of gem powers by clicking HERE!
Stay tuned for information on what this means for existing demis, and how the new system will work!
Thank you all so much for participating in the first event in the new group! We hope you all had fun, and are looking forward to all the fun activities in the future! ♥
