Giant (WHITE) Bird of Paradise

Native to: South Africa and naturalized in Mexico

• Size: 30 feet (15 feet wide)
• Sun: Full sun but does better in part sun around California
• Hardiness: 24 degrees
• Water: Medium (2-3 times weekly during dry months)
• Flowers: large bird-like flowers have white heads and blue tongues
• Attracts: Nectar eating creatures
• Pests: Argentine Ants seem to love this plant, yet don't seem to affect it negatively
• Other Information: Grows at a moderate rate, and the stem resembles a palm tree. Wind frost, and underwatering will damage the leaves.
