Native to: Madagascar
- Size: Grows up to 50 feet in the wild, about 25-30 in Southern California
- Sun: Full to part sun (sensitive to frost)
- Hardiness: to upper twenties, will burn below 32 degrees
- Water: Medium (2 times weekly during dry months)
- Flowers: Yellow and green flowers that turn into black fruit
- Attracts: pollenating insects when blooming, birds and small mammals when fruiting
- Pests: None observed, but can include mealybug, aphids, and scale.
- Other Information: Threatened in it's native habitat, hates being transplanted, and is a stunning palm!
