Long John (Grevillea)

Grevillea 'Long John' (G. johnsonii x G. longistyla)

Native to: EASTERN AUSTRALIA

  • Size: 8-10 feet tall and wide
  • Sun: Full to part sun, tolerates both summer heat and winter frost
  • Hardiness: to around 25 degrees
  • Water: Medium (2 times weekly during dry months)
  • Flowers: translucent coral-red blooms all year long
  • Attracts: humming birds
  • Pests: Argentine Ants harvest the nectar but don't seem to affect the plant
  • Other Information: Great screen, responds well to pruning, great cut flower, and don't apply fertilizer to this plant.
