I am Vivian De León, panamanian, 40 years old. I am a professional in the world of insurance, with more than 10 years of experience in banking insurance.

I entered the world of theater acting since 2020 and I am a Bachelor's student in English at the Universidad Latina de Panamá.

I have been working since I was 17, so in the future I want to have a more relaxed job where I can manage my own time and that's why I decided to study English and Translation, because in the future I could be a teacher, document translator, etc... and also, why not? English can help me in my acting career.

I can say that I use critical thinking skills in homework when I analyze information, evaluate evidence, and synthesize ideas. For example, in a history assignment, I might compare different sources to determine bias, in a science project, I might design an experiment to test a hypothesis, and in a literature essay, I might interpret themes and symbols to support their argument.

The importance of developing my interpretation skills is not only knowing the meaning of the words, but also understanding the context in its entirety, knowing what it is talking about, what it wants to convey and the information it provides. This allows me to expand my knowledge at a social and cultural level, and to be able to communicate with a larger number of people, apply for other positions within the organization for which I work and generate extra income.
