We have some initial indications that local councillors are responding to residents’ concerns:
Cllr Tim Roberts attended the community meeting on 22 July and confirmed that there were only four people in favour of the CPZ. He also noted that, in his canvassing, he had not met a single resident who supported the proposal. He has asked the Parking Consultation Team to consider the level of opposition.
We understand that Cllr Zahra Beg has raised the hospital-related parking pressures directly with the CEO of Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals and has secured his agreement to meet with Barnet Council to explore solutions — including the idea of a multi-storey car park, similar to what exists at Chase Farm.
We will continue pushing to make sure that long-term, fair solutions are found — without unfairly burdening our neighbourhood.
