That is hard to answer, not because the answer is unclear but because it is so clear.
Virtually all of the passages that talk about homosexuality (and about sexual immorality more generally) also talk about judgement. That that is God’s consistent message should not be overlooked. This is a terrible warning.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 specifically says that practising homosexuals (among others) will not enter the Kingdom of God.
But that is not the end of the story. The point is that God offers sinners forgiveness when they repent. There is hope for all of us since God is a God of mercy as well as a holy God. The rest of this section is about the good news God speaks to all practising homosexuals. Please do read on.
Paul’s statement here is general. It refers to “the wicked” and then gives examples: the sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexual offenders; thieves, the greedy, drunkards, slanderers, and swindlers. There are lots of sins that will keep people from the Kingdom of God. Homosexual practice is but one.
Furthermore, in 1 Corinthians 6, the chapter quoted above, Paul, in the very next verse says, “And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
