Hello.
I am Peter Cheyne. You might want to know a little about me.
I am a retired minister in the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand living in Dunedin, New Zealand.
My main interest is disciple-making i.e. helping people come to know Jesus and grow as followers of Jesus. My primary website is www.followers.org.nz. There is all sorts of information there about discipleship. disciple-making, the mission of the church etc.
I am also on the executive of Presbyterian AFFIRM. AFFIRM is a group within the PCANZ who have a passion for the transforming gospel, biblical faith and vibrant churches. I am available to work with churches on a number of topics. Please see the website if you are interested.
I am married with three adult daughters, two sons-in-law and seven grandchildren.
Why have I done this?
I have listed a lot of my reasons in the introduction but basically, it boils down to this…
I am a Christian pastor.
I care about people’s salvation.
And…
I care about God being honoured.
I care about being faithful to the scriptures.
I care about the health of the church.
