Liberals will say that there are examples of homosexual relationships in the Bible that are not condemned. On the contrary, they are honoured.

David and Jonathan (on the basis of 1 Samuel 18:1-4; 20:30, 41; 2 Sam 1:26)
Naomi and Ruth (Ruth (esp. 1:16-17))
Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar’s chief official (Dan 1:9)
Ehud and Eglon (Judges 3:12-26)
Elijah (on the basis of 2 Kings 1:8)
The Roman soldier and his servant (Matthew 8:5-13; Luke 7:1-10) (since Roman soldiers often had slaves used for sexual purposes, completely ignoring the respect that the Jews had for this man.)
Mary, Martha and Lazarus (not with each other but merely on the basis that they were not married and therefore must have been gay.)
There is no evidence that any of these relationships was sexual. That is a supposition drawn from the fact that they were obviously very close relationships. But, surprising as it might seem to some, there can be close relationships that are not sexual. It is a great pity if what is genuinely an honourable and inspiring relationship is turned into something crude, simply to further a call for the acceptance of homosexuality.
Look up these passages. You will see how baseless the suggestions are.
Conservatives would consider all of these suggestions to be objectionable and some to be blasphemous.
Given the Bible’s consistent condemnation of homosexual acts, it is unthinkable that it would then, in a secret, unstated way, portray those same acts as honourable and thereby seek to contradict the plain teaching.
There is not a single example of a homosexual relationship in the Bible.
