It is sometimes said that Christians’ objections to homosexuality are based on so few scriptures. Why are we fixated on something that is not a major biblical issue?
That reasoning is faulty on various levels.
How many references does it take?
How many times does God have to say the same thing before we are willing to believe it?
There are actually many relevant passages
The objection refers only to those passages that mention homosexuality directly. As we have seen, there are many more that address it indirectly and that consistently support the direct passages.
For example, this is an issue that bears directly on people’s salvation (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). All passages dealing with repentance, forgiveness, whether one can continue to knowingly sin and call oneself a Christian etc. are relevant.
