On One Hand...

Dr. Daniel Cameron (lead author of the good treatment guidelines) wrote an article on this topic- Azithromycin Gel Fails To Prevent Lyme Disease- based on the facts and actual results of the studies.

On The Other Hand...

In 2008 Shapiro and Wormser published that one dose of azithromycin should work to cure Lyme (as an alternative to one dose of Doxycycline). We already know the one dose of doxy theory is terribly flawed and has failed miserably.

In 2014 the CDC published that this topical azithromycin remedy was the hottest thing since sliced bread. Nothing since. That ought to tell you something.

Perhaps the push to get this on the market is the result of someone having patents on the product?
