Thyroid & Adrenal

Your adrenal glands are two thumb-sized organs above your kidneys that may remind you of little kidney caps. They are part of the endocrine system. They assist with the production of over 50 hormones that support the majority of bodily functions.

The following suggestions may help in adressing low thyroid and/or adrenal fatigue.

Non-prescription

Ashwagandha 400 mg 1 to 2 pills in the morning and 1 to 2 pills between 1-2 pm.

Zinc 20 mg, Selenium 100 to 200 mcg, and

Iodine 200 to 300 mcg 1 time a day.

Prescription Medications

Desiccated Thyroid or Armour Thyroid

Some of the Symptoms

Adrenal fatigue (hypoadrenia): moodiness, recurrent or poor recovery from infections, depression, chronic inflammation, low blood sugar, insulin resistence, hormone imbalance, low blood pressure, dizziness on standing, fatigue, afternoon exhaustion, and salt and sugar cravings.

Low thyroid: muscle pain and achiness, dry skin, cold intolerance, weight gain, constipation, changes in menstrual cycles.
