Elevated, or simply “Super Sorcerer” is an individual with a particular node network that allows them to use superpowers and cast magic like normal. Occurrences of this is extremely rare, due to the node network mutations required for manifesting superpowers usually making the individual unable to draw magic and cast spells.
Even sorcerers turned-Super cannot harness magic despite their knowledge and experience, no matter how hard they try.
Infamous Order sorcerer turned rogue: Maya Frost, first coined the term “Elevated”, using that term to describe herself and the potential of humanity to become so powerful that they could defy nature, for the betterment of humanity. She saw Elevation as the final and needed form for humanity to see what it could try to do, and humanity’s potential to protect their world.
Maya Frost is deceased but her work has not.
Becoming Elevated is now random.
Elevated individuals can manifest superpowers and wield sorcery as normal, and may gain bonuses from both sides, including negative bonuses like burnout and spell stress. Manage both abilities wisely…
Elevated individuals also automatically gain the unique superpower “Phoenix Revival” (see superpower list), that allows them to negate certain once per 24 hours.
Characters that become Elevated post-creation automatically gain the starting rank of sorcery if they started as super, or the starting rank of superpowers if they're a sorcerer, respectively. They may gain level up bonuses all the way up to level 7 and before the Trained/Adept Power Level upgrade if their current level surpasses the upgrade. They may gain the Trained/Adept Level Upgrade bonuses after 6 months, and Capable/Expert after 6 months more, etc until they reach their current level.
For example, a sorcerer character that becomes Elevated at level 14 gains the Beginner powerpoints and 6 powerpoints from levelling, but must wait 6 months to gain the levelling and rank upgrade bonuses up to their current level.
