Quests are in-world missions your characters may embark on! Both sorcerers and superheroes will have their own missions but occasionally they may team up. These quests represent small events in the world, and your character’s involvement will help shape the world at large!
Quests will cycle every month. All cycles will contain simple investigation quests which may lead into certain in-world situations, such as investigating an alleged super vigilante may result in a confrontation! Or maybe it was a false call… More unique quests may appear from time to time.
You can only submit 1 quest per character per month! (For example, players with 2 characters may only submit 2 quests per month) There may be exceptions, like special character quests or bonus quests.
Some quests may also be a precursor to an event or mini-event so keep an eye out!
Quests are very simple to submit, mainly requiring a small text submission.
When submitting a quest, use the following template (also available in pins) and submit in #quest-submissions:
Quest: (Quest name)
Character: (What character is doing this quest)
Requirement: (What are they doing to complete this quest)
Other notes: (anything else you’d like to note in their submission)
This system is heavily inspired by the Quest system for PPAU. I give full credit to them for the concept - I really like the Quest system, which is why I decided to use it here too.
Rewards:
Quests can reward participants with Universe Points (UP), which is used to level up characters. There are smaller chances for rarer rewards, like unique spells or knowledge that no other character may gain…if your character gains something special you will be given an Intervention to indicate this.
Special Rewards:
Every now and again, a Quest may have the chance to offer a "Special Reward", which is usually a limited use unique item personalised to the character that gains it. Check the bottom of Quests for this note! When a Quest with an available Special Reward is completed, an admin will roll a d20. On a 20, your character will gain this unique item. These items are customised so please be patient with staff creating this item! You'll receive this item in a private ticket!
As of April 9th, you will automatically receive a reroll if you roll a 19 :) .
