Square your mind for the following information. We are not alone here - not even close. You are reading this because without you, your world may not be able to comprehend the vast array of threats that can appear with a flick of a finger.
I am also most likely gone by the time you find these notes. I have left them everywhere - fragments of knowledge to make you aware but not enough to let you become a threat.
The Expanded Universes are everything but it isn’t limitless. I haven’t seen the limits of time yet but I have primary sources to support this.
There are two types of worlds: worlds with magic, and worlds without. If you are reading this, you are from a world with magic. It is exactly what you think it means. Sorcery, node networks, magical dimensions and creatures - these all are indications of a magical universe. To worlds without, they will never understand what it means to have magic. They are the safest of us all. They will live in security from the greatest powers in the universes.
Here, this diagram shows my hypothesis. The worlds are split between the Linea Magica. I believe this Linea Magica consists of the magical dimensions that us sorcerers use to harness power for our spells. Magical worlds are above the line.
The Expanded Universes are limited in time scale - the furthest my primary sources say are roughly 100 years from the middle of the diagram where my world resides. Time seems to be consistent however - 1 second is always 1 second in another world.
Exactly why time is linear but offset is unknown.
Variants is an odd term, I admit, but there is no greater concise word for it. My colleague has coined the term and I am drawn to its liking. Variants are the same people from other worlds. These people may not be exactly the same - they may have made a different decision or changed their appearance or something like that. They may have also died earlier or later than another variant.
It’s truly fascinating. Variants may be almost as limitless as the Expanded Universes.
However I have found a disparity between magical and non-magical worlds. Those of magical occupations, like myself: a sorcerer, cannot be found so easily in worlds without magic. The Linea Magica somehow filters out such people. However, people who do not touch magic may exist in both magical and non-magical worlds - it’s perplexing, isn’t it?
I am yet to see a variant of myself. I have seen variants of the people around me - even the person I love - yet not me. Not even my little one that, at this moment, babbles in my arms. That fills me with concern, that these patterns I have hypothesised have already been undermined by myself.
Indeed there are ways to travel to other worlds. I will not share how this can be done - but even the most unintelligent sentient creatures have developed their own ways of doing so. It’s odd. One would have thought such mechanisms were only available to clever sorcerers, but nature finds its way.
Be wary of travelling if you do find yourself armed with the knowledge. You may cross worlds of horror - or worlds guarded against threats such as yourself. You may never return home.
Or perhaps you may find a new home.
