Spells are separated by their primary dimension. Sorcerers may be able to cast Novice and Adept spells at any time regardless of whether they are on the Proficient Spell list or not! However penalties for casting non-proficient spells are either: double spell stress taken OR double casting time.
Expert, master and unusual/curiosity spells can only be used if they take up a spell slot. Only Order sorcerers can use Spells with * in the Spell name.
Spell level determines how many spell points are needed to add them to a slot.
Spells are cast as either (in ascending order of spellstress):
Bolts: a projectile cast only from the exit node/s
Gout, volley or beam: a ray cast from the exit node/s
Distance cast: a cast that initially manifests away from the exit node/s.
The types of projections that a spell can take will be stated in (Other notes).Â
A gout cast can persist through subsequent turns with +1 stress per turn.
When casting a spell, please state the name, the projection and what you will use the spell for.
