Moong dal (split yellow) - ¼ cup
Cucumbers (finely chopped) - 1 cup
Coconut (grated) - ¼ cup
Curry leaves (chopped) - 1 sprig
Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
Green chillies (chopped) - 2
Salt - as required
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - ½ teaspoon
Urad dal (split) - 1 teaspoon
Red chillies (slit) - 2
Coriander leaves (fresh) - 2 sprigs
Boil water and half cook moong dal.
Cut cucumber into small pieces add salt to it and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
Heat a teaspoon of oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add urad dal and red chillies.
Add this seasoning in half cooked moong dal and mix. Also add cucumber add grated coconut.
Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves and serve.
