This is one of the most dark and unsettling shows I’ve ever seen. Black Mirror is a sci-fi anthology, so each episode has its own independent story. Each episode is around an hour long. And the show is just insane. 

At first glance, Black Mirror seems like a sci-fi show that tells dark stories. But it’s way deeper than that. In all its episodes, Black Mirror does exactly what the title says. Using these stories, the show holds up a black mirror, so to speak, in front of our eyes to show us our darkest parts. It did that freakishly well. 

The plots are all uniquely chosen and well made. One episode is about a space adventure that’s not what it seems. One is about a hostage situation that starts a global crisis. Another is about a museum of questionable artifacts. Some episodes aren’t that great. But most of them are amazing and weave an interesting story. 

Episodes of Black Mirror show a world of technology, highlighting all its consequences and revealing its scariest parts. Most episodes will really leave you pondering upon complex and terrifying dilemmas that are shockingly relevant to today’s world. Of course, some episodes aren’t as serious, and are more laid back. 

Personally, I liked the dark episodes. They left me half in shambles, and I spent a lot of time thinking over them after watching them. In spite of that, I think it’s fair to say that the show often got way too dark. Sci-fi stories of this sort are only attractive to some people. 

This show isn’t for everyone. If you’re looking for something laid back, look away. You don’t have to love sci-fi to enjoy Black Mirror, you just have to be able to follow the basics. This show is for the people who like really dark and meaningful stuff. 

Overall, Black Mirror is a unique and disturbing show. It is as problematic and scary as it is captivating and entertaining. It explores the scariest parts of humanity in the form of twisted tales without ever flinching. The show will never cease to amaze me, and the content has stayed consistent over the 5 seasons so far.
