Yes, I know. Not my genre. This is a review request by Raashi. And I have to say, objectively, not as bad as I thought it would be. Thanks for recommending Raashi.
It's about a girl who grew up homeschooled in Africa, and moves to a US high school, where she goes through a lot of social adjustment and stuff. The movie poster reflects the movie vibe perfectly.
It's a nice plot that wasn't executed in a serious way. It's a laid back movie but is FULL OF DRAMA. Don't watch it to learn anything, it's a really chill movie about high school.
I took something from the movie. The protagonist, Cady, likes math. But she starts declining in school trying to get a boyfriend. And it eventually catches up with her.
I learnt that we shouldn't be distracted with boyfriends and girlfriends, and fail math. Also, you shouldn't keep a physical record of gossip. That'll inevitably blow up in your face.
GUYS someone DM me and explain why Girl World has so many rules I can't even 😭 Those mean girls are honestly so mean... I will say, though, the acting was really good.
Overall, it's a good movie for anyone looking for a teenage drama that is fairly predictable, isn't tense, and has above average humor. I'm assuming a lot of you like that.
My final thoughts. Guys, don't get distracted in math class like Cady. This wasn't my type of movie, but I stayed as unbiased as I could.
