For those who might stroll down the street of the Market District, they're sure to realize that... there are a number of Vacant Storefronts that are all boarded up and abandoned. Perhaps Solarans came to Solara Veil with the intention of becoming a Business Owner, or perhaps seeing a particular Storefront has inspired them. Whichever the case, prospective Business Owners can Reserve that Storefront with the intention of claiming it as their own!
Once a prospective Business Owner has staked their claim, that Vacant Storefront will have to be prepared in order to receive customers. A Businesses Owner must commission the Architectural Guild to come and fix-up the Storefront and install the necessary infrastructure to support the new livelihood.
Such commissions cost Coins, 5 Coins to be exact. After all Town Council want new folks to takeover those Vacant Storefronts, but Coins must be spent in order to be made! This boosts the Town's economy and it encourages new Solarans to stay in the Town longer or, hopefully, permanently.
It's true that the Solara Veil Town Council want to entice new people to stay in the Town, so that it can return to how it resembled back in its glory days. Therefore, all Newcomers willing to move and settle into the town are guaranteed Property... as long as they develop the land given to them and contribute to the growing economy of the town.
In order to develop the land to be suitable for a Desert Farm or Ranch, a Property Owner must commission the Architectural Guild to come and build and install the necessary infrastructure to support the new livelihood.
Such commissions cost Coins, 10 Coins to be exact. After all Town Council want new folks to take up Farming or Ranching, but money must be spent in order to be made! This boosts the Town's economy and it encourages new Solarans to stay in the Town longer or, hopefully, permanently.
Note Due to the current economy of the Town as it stands, Properties can only support EITHER a Farm or Ranch, not both. Perhaps this will change in the future as the Town prospers?
Environmental Damage (Fires, Floods and Sandstorms) affects Houses, Occupations (Businesses, Ranches, and Farms), and Town Work buildings collectively (see below for details).
If infrastructure has been affected by Environmental Damage, it will be labelled as __% Damaged in a Solaran's Storage.
Exactly how Damaged infrastructure becomes will be randomized.
The affected Solaran(s) will have to commission the Architectural Guild and pay for the Damage to be repaired! Damaged Houses and/or Occupations cannot be Renovated and, honestly? What Solaran wants to continue living with a Damaged House or work in a Damaged Occupation building?
Note Don't forget that owning too many Loyal Companions can also Damage your House!
Note If the damaging Hazard happens to be a Sandstorm, then House Repairs CANNOT be commissioned until the storm has passed. Why? It's a Sandstorm! Stay inside and stay safe until it's blown passed.
Town Work Occupations (Solara Clinic, the Lone Star Saloon, the Sheriff's Office, etc.) work similarly to Businesses, in that they can hire Employees, be Renovated, and use Draft Companions.
However, the greatest difference between Businesses and Town Work is how they are Damaged and how they can be Repaired.
Individual Businesses/Storefronts get Damaged by themselves / individually.
Example - a Bakery Storefront is damaged 25% from a Flood
Town Work Occupations and infrastructure collectively share the same percentage of Damage and pooled donations are required to Repair this Damage.
Example - the Clinic, Saloon, Sheriff's Office and more have been damaged 25% from a Flood and it will cost X amount of donations to fix them all.
Note Another way to Repair your Damaged House or Occupation is by visually depicting or writing your character interacting with an Architectural Guild Member to Repair said Damages!
Creativity is always encouraged!
First off, make sure that consent has been given by all parties in how their characters are used or depicted. Solo pieces and collabs are all acceptable.
For any Submission, the Submission MUST FIRST be submitted into the Art Channel of the Discord with the appropriate Tag (in the case of repairing damages, the tag would be Everyday) or posted elsewhere on a site.

Besides fixing up a storefront, building a farm/ranch, and repairing damages, another thing to come for to the Architectural Guild is for Renovations! Renovations come with benefits and, hopefully, they're not Damaged immediately after being completed by some bad luck or weather!
With every Renovation your House/Business/Farm/Ranch gets, the better protected they will be and will experience less Damage.
Note Must be purchased in order. For more information, see the Home Life page.

Why, you might be asking?!
The Town Council encourages interactions and creativity, that's why!
Also! Got extra items or want to give something to a friend? You can send them a Gift!
Renovations for all the town buildings, such as the Guilds, Fire Brigade, Clinic, and Saloon, are a pooled group effort. Town workers can contribute any amount of their money to fund renovations. Once funded, all town buildings would receive the renovations. Non-town workers are also free to donate some coins as well.
A member sends a Purchase Request via the drop-down menu found in the Submit Mail channel on the Discord server for an Architectural Guild Service.
This will open a pop-up form to fill out.
In the form, the member must provide the following information:
Which character the purchase(s) is for
The Service that you would like to Purchase
For House Renovations, be sure that the House Renovation Requirements are met
Provide a link to your Storage. Make sure the link is clickable!
Once the form is complete, click the Submit button. This will create a Private Mail channel with the information that you have provided.
