Draft Pokémon are Pokémon that are specially trained to help out with an Altermew's Occupation, Property, Ranch, or Farm. Each Draft Companion has their own advantages and tasks that the Pokémon can prevent for potential Hazard & Weather events that can occur to your character.
To get a Draft Companion though, one would need to buy them from the Desert Bloom Ranch.
Please note that all Pokémon sold by the Desert Bloom Ranch are in their youngest/first evolutions. They must be trained by their new owners to evolve and efficiently work.
Note Depictions of Pokémon must be recognizable - regardless of personal art style!
Good questions!
Drafts can effectively prevent the damage caused by certain Hazards and/or Weather conditions!
In fact, some Drafts can actually get you extra Coins with your Submissions!!
However, not every Solaran may be a good fit for certain types of Draft Pokémon. Some Drafts are only Purchasable by Farmers, Ranchers or Business folks!.
However, there are some Draft Pokémon that are available to everyone.!
Living Scarecrow - Cacnea - 15 Coins
✦ Seeds are expensive and no Farmer wants their young crops to be eaten by birds or pests, so it would help to have a Cacturne to stand in the field to scare them away. It is the Scarecrow Pokémon, after all, and they seem to enjoy scaring pests away and adore their owners praise.
Owning a Living Scarecrow would help keep those pest numbers down!
Moving Heater - Slugma - 20 Coins
✦ The nights of the Sunswept Wastes can be chilly, especially in the Rainy Season, so it would help to have a Magcargo to help out with keeping the Crops protected against potential frostbite. Magcargo stay on their paths and are very capable of controlling their heat so as to not cook potential Produce.
Owning a Moving Heater would help prevent fields from shriveling from the cold!
Walking Waterer - Lotad - 40 Coins
✦ The sun of the Sunswept Wastes can be harsh, especially in the Dry Season, so it would help to have a Ludicolo to help out with the watering and helping the land's fertility. Their dancing can summon a small rain cloud. Besides! Ludicolo's dancing is fun to watch.
Owning a Walking Waterer would help prevent fields from drying out!
Pest Control Cat - Meowth - 15 Coins
✦ Pests like Rattata are attracted to feed for Livestock, so having a stealthy Persian on your property to help keep those pest numbers down would be a wise decision. Persians don't make good "lap-cats" and are truly best suited for their work only, though they are very pretty to admire.
Owning a Pest Control Cat would help keep those pest numbers down!
Hay & Wood Cutter - Scyther - 20 Coins
✦ Wood is very expensive in the Sunswept Wastes, so all wood is repurposed. Fences will need mending and hay will need to be cut to fit in a Silo in order to feed Livestock. Owning a Kleavor can get a lot of work done, in addition to the fact that bandits would think twice of stealing from a Rancher if they see a Kleavor.
Bandits would think twice of stealing from a Rancher if they see a Hay & Wood Cutter.
Herding Dog - Lillipup - 40 Coins
✦ The larger a Ranch becomes and the more Livestock a Rancher owns it becomes harder to manage all those Pokémon. Owning a hardworking Stoutland can help can Rancher maintain order of their Livestock. Their thick fur help this dog against cold desert nights.

Owning a Front Doorbell means +1 Coin per Occupation Submission.
Sturdy Signholder- Bonsley - 20 Coins
✦ Drawing attention to your Business is just good sales strategy: more customers means more money. Sudowoodo don't exactly move much, unless they get wet or their owner tells them to. Therefore, they're the perfect helper to hold up a Business' sign to draw more attention to it.
Owning a Sturdy Signholder means that your next Business Renovation is Discounted 50%.
Shop Protector - Seedot - 40 Coins
✦ The Sunswept Wastes can be a very dangerous region, especially if you consider the number of bandits and thieves that try and make a score when they can. Sometimes even in town. Owning a Shiftry to stand guard and protect a Business is probably a good idea for some peace of mind.
Owning a Shop Protector protects a business from bandits.
While the Desert Bloom Ranch does not sell designated Companions under this classification, if a Solaran is willing to put in the work and coordinate with the Pokémon Trainer, then where there's a will, there's a way to achieve these Companions!
Note For Pokémon to qualify to be trained as Adventure Drafts, they need to make sense! Be sure to submit a Design Review Ticket to discuss a potential Pokémon for the role and HOW they'll perform their duties!
✦ Harvester Companions are specifically trained to sniff, scope, or search out hidden Seeds, Berries and maybe even some Produce per Adventure! Some of these can be incredibly rare and highly sought after, which would only help to expand the Town's offerings for the General Store or Sunstone Moisture Farm!
✦ These Companions differ from Loyals because they've been specifically Trained to assist Hunters with Hunting specific kinds of wild Pokémon! Pack Hunters can help track down prey, chase them down, corner them or weaken them - whatever is needed to be done to make the kill!
✦ Pack Hunters can only be Trained to focus on one type of Prey, such as Large Game OR Waterfowl, but not both.
Any Solaran can own any of these!
Note Draft Companion buffs/benefits DO NOT STACK!
Example) Owning both a Draft Mudsdale AND Chimecho don't equate +2 Coins per Submission
