A Berserker is an Altermew who can Mega Evolve, known as the Berserk State. When a Berserker Mega Evolves, they become a stronger form of themselves for roughly 24 hours once every month. During their Berserk State, Berserkers often gain Traits and sometimes even a new Type! However, Mega Evolution is such a powerful state for an Altermew that most lose control of themselves and have gone on rampages to cause damages and possible injuries to others.
Many people are afraid of Berserkers and Altermews who are heavily Traited have faced prejudice and being falsely accused of being Berserkers. This is unfortunate because, at the end of the day, being a Berserker is perfectly natural and not done by choice.

✦ Members may have up to 2 Berserkers out of their allowed total 5 character slots.
✦ Every Berserker must transform into their Berserk State once a month, as part of their Berserk Cycle. However! Berserkers may also temporarily transform if their life is threatened/they are in mortal peril. This means life or deaths situations, no willy-nilly transformations because their Berserker is mad, like the Hulk. Do not god mod with Berserkers!
✦ While in their Berserk State, a Berserker may display more "animalistic" tendencies and physical Traits. However, they still must look human! No Anthro designs!!

✦ Berserkers must keep the same ability as their counterparts (Regular everyday self).
✦ Female Berserkers MUST be depicted as wearing some sort of shirt in their Application art.
✦ Berserkers can change/gain their Typing during Mega Evolution! This would count as an Other Trait!
✦ Example 1: If a Character has a Grass type for their Altermew self, they can become Grass/Psychic during their Berserk State.
✦ Example 2: If a Character has Fire/Fighting typings for their Altermew self, they can become Fire/Dark during their Berserk State.
An Altermews's Berserker Nature typically reveals itself during an Altermew's puberty. The transformation is NOT linked to puberty itself, as in triggered by hormones etc., Mega Evolution just takes happens for the first time between the ages of 9 - 17.
After the Berserker Nature has been revealed, Berserkers cannot transform willingly or on a whim. Many have tried to hone /control their Berserk Nature, but the primal transformation has proven to be too much for the mind of an Altermew and very few have managed to gain some semblance of control while transformed.
Every Berserker is different in that while they all have their own Berserker Cycle, which often correlates with the phases of the moon. This means that every Berserker will transform for one full day every month. These days are typically safeguarded by the Berserker. Berserkers can control this involuntary transformation if they consume the expensive and rare potion, SubDew (see below for details).
However, outside of a Berserker's Cycle, Berserkers can potentially enter the Berserk State when under extreme duress, such as being on the brink of death. These life-or-death transformations are said to be even more vicious and unpredictable, albeit not long lasting - up to an hour tops, or so it's been reported.
Unlike Pokémon, where only fully evolved Pokémon can Mega Evolve, Altermews can enter the Berserk State regardless of their Altermewtation's evolution stage. This is part of the reason why Berserkers are considered to be so dangerous, because they are so unpredictable and anyone post-puberty could possibly be a Berserker.
Berserkers are typically identifiable by the fact that they usually have more than 4 Traits as Altermews. However, this is not a guaranteed identification method. There are Altermews who naturally have 5-6 Traits, but are not Berserkers. However, these individuals may be confused to be Berserkers and, therefore, may experience instances of negative interactions of possible prejudice from other Altermews. Many people are afraid of Berserkers because of the power and strength exerted by a Berserker during their Berserk State. Property damage can happen during a rampaging Berserker, and if Altermews dare to battle a Berserker while in their Berserk State, injury can occur.
Identifying a Berserker while they are in their Berserk State is the only method of positively identifying a Berserker, and the number of Traits exhibited usually increased to range between 5 - 8 total (unless, of course, an individual willingly divulges this information). The max number of Traits for a Berserker is 10.
The Berserk State can last up to an entire day, roughly 24 hours, for Berserkers during their Berserk Cycles. Every Berserker has their own Berserk Cycle - meaning that the day when a Berserker enters their Berserk State is different per Berserker. If a Berserker goes into their Berserk State because their life is mortally threatened, this change may only last a few minutes to an hour at most until the danger has been dealt with, the Berserker has escaped, or has lost consciousness.
Most Altermews have 2-4 Traits, but there are always individuals who have more Traits who are not Berserkers
Berserkers are known to have more than 4 Traits as part of their everyday Altermewtation, around 5-6. However, there have been instances of known Berserkers with fewer Traits
In their Berserk State, a Berserker's Traits increase to be between 5-10 Traits and generally look "different" due to their appearance being their Altermewtation's Mega Evolution
✦ First successfully developed by Dr. B.R. Nopankin in 2034 ADD
✦ If a Berserker consumes SubDew the day before their expected Berserk Cycle, their transformation will be controlled and avoided with the Berserker often feeling discomfort and nausea as common side effects
✦ If a non-Berserker consumes SubDew, the individual is likely to experience mild to severe nausea and/or dizziness
✦ SubDew reportedly tastes terrible, with some likening it to the liquid form of Oran juice and mint toothpaste... but worse
✦ If a Berserker consumes SubDew while already transformed, the affect may vary. Some Berserkers transform back, while others regain some or all control of themselves while still in their Berserk State, albeit rarely. However, it is not advised that anyone should approach a Berserker while in their Berserk State due to the extreme danger and the high likelihood that the Berserker will resist consumption
✦ Before Groudon's Reign, SubDew could be purchased from most pharmacies but was still quite expensive; however, that meant that Berserkers had to identify themselves via a doctor's note
✦ Many Berserkers opted to hide their Berserk Cycle rather than register themselves with a doctor or spend the large amount of funds required to purchase monthly doses of SubDew
✦ A new version of SubDew was developed circa 2150 ADD that tasted much better than the original, but was quickly discovered to create a hallucinogenic high for non-Berserkers and was considered to be highly addictive to most users. This strain was quickly pulled from production; however, the recipe was leaked and this lead to the creation of the aptly named "SubDewMe" illegal substance
✦ SubDewMe can still control a Berserker from transforming, but its highly addictive nature creates a sense of dependence for many Berserkers who use it regularly. For those Berserkers experiencing withdrawals from the substance, they may feel increased levels of stress, anxiety, and paranoia which may trigger their Berserk State outside of their Berserk Cycle, similar to the reaction if their life was in danger - therefore only lasting a few minutes or at maximum an hour
✦ Both recipes for SubDew and SubDewMe have survived Groudon's Reign. While still costly, SubDew is produced in some capacity across the various regions for pharmaceutical distribution; SubDewMe, on the other hand, continues to be illegally manufactured and sold in Dark Markets
Put as much distance as you can between yourself and the Berserker. If you have young children, carry and hush them.
Find a structurally secure location and hide yourself. Remember to keep quiet as to not draw attention to your location.
As a last resort, or if you think you're strong enough, you can try and engage the Berserker in battle. However, a rampaging Berserker is incredibly strong and can be very violent, so this is not recommend, even with Loyal Companions!

You can earn those 5 Coins via Submissions!
How about joining a Guild or taking up some Town Work? A Reservation is required for those as well!
