Race: Forest Gnomes
Age: 83
Occupation: Salvagers, scrap traders, battlefield gleaners
Usual Haunt: Just outside Mosstone’s east gate with a squeaky hand-cart
Appearance:
Reet: Wiry and fast-talking, wears bronze-rimmed goggles and a patchwork vest covered in pouches, buttons, and string.
Fessel: Rounder and quieter, often cloaked, with chalk-scribbled diagrams all over their sleeves. Wears a necklace made of mismatched teeth (animal, probably).
Personality: Reet is a chatterbox with the confidence of a con artist and the charm of a street magician. Fessel is quiet, watchful, and prone to muttering equations or theories under their breath. Together, they finish each other’s sentences and argue constantly about irrelevant details.
Background: Their burrow was razed during a Crimson Confederacy raid. With nothing left to protect, they took to the road, scavenging the detritus of war and reselling it under the philosophy that "everything deserves a second story."
Reputation in Mosstone: Distrusted by many, especially veterans, but quietly respected for their honesty in trades. The guards tolerate them. Children love them.
Hook: They unknowingly possess a cipher stone engraved with Shatterfang Goblin command symbols. A Confederacy agent is in town, quietly watching and waiting for an opportunity to steal it back.
