The Children of the Wither are a fanatical cult that embraces the blight not as a curse, but as a sacred trial — a path to spiritual transcendence through rot, agony, and decay. They believe that true enlightenment can only be achieved through suffering, and that to spread suffering is to share divinity. To them, pain is a form of prayer, and the blight is a divine touch that purifies the soul through torment.
These zealots willingly consume blight-infected meat — animal, human, or worse — believing it hastens their sacred transformation. They shave their heads to bare themselves fully to the Wither's embrace and are easily recognized by their blackened lips and chins, stained by constant exposure to tainted flesh and foul tinctures. Each member seeks to achieve higher stages of blight progression, wearing their lesions and mutations as holy marks of favor.
They have no regard for their own well-being and will hurl themselves into danger, infection, and madness in the name of the Wither. To resist the blight is heresy; to suffer for it is salvation.
