The son of Duncan "a most sainted king", whose "virtues will plead like angels", Malcolm, was (and forever will be) a royal disappointment to his family. being the heir to the throne, and the son of such a gracious King, Malcolm was expected to be great, but alas, he turned out to be but a mere loser. Below are some of his greatest failures.
Act 2 Scene 3
The following soliloquy, (written in Malcolm's secret diary) displays the loserness of Malcolm, who, when faced with tragedy, deals with it by being a loser.
Thoughts of horror fill my head…
…I can’t shake this sense of dread…
…what’s that lying in his bed?
OH MY GOD. DADDY’S DEAD.
How could this happen to a king?
I shake as I hear the alarm bells ring.
Room full of chaos and I can’t hear a thing.
Songs of sorrow, the angels sing.
All this is more than I can bear,
Fair is foul and foul is fair.
Still can’t wrap this round my head,
DONALDBAIN, DADDY’S DEAD!
The expedition of his violent love,
Yell, jostle, push and shove,
Macduff cannot conceive nor name thee!
Stop your crying and look to the lady.
Throughout this scene I stare and study,
The near in blood, the nearer bloody.
To England I think it’s time I fled,
No time to lose because
Daddy’s dead.
Malcolm being uggo, like get a comb, dont love ur stache bro, get a tan pls
Joan of Arc called...she wants her hair back
I like your cut G 💯💯
Act 4 Scene 3
This scene perfectly highlights Malcolm as the true loser he is. It can be seen that even he himself realises he is a loser, referring to himself as a "weak, poor, innocent lamb".
Following that, when asked to be king, Malcolm decides to pretend to have many vices in front of Macduff (insecure much??). He says he is lustful, later revealing that he is "unknown to woman" . This should be interpreted as Malcolm being very lonely and no one wanting him. analysists have concluded that this is due to his unkemptness, uninterestingness and uselessness.
Act 5
Malcolm approaches Macbeth's castle with his army disguised as a tree like a loser to lay siege on Dunsinane. In this siege he shows his true cowardice as he hides behind his army and fails to avenge his father due to being unswaggy.
After Macduff slays Macbeth, Malcolm takes the throne even though he does literally nothing. it can be seen that he is still mad salty that he has no queen as he refers to Lady Macbeth as a "fiend-like queen". we all know you're lonely malcolm, get a life.
