CEPS (Coordinated Eviction Prevention System)
Description
Coordinated Eviction Prevention System (CEPS) provides services and resources for households and individuals in order to remain housed. Services are up to 12 months.
Services
• Case Management. Conducts intake/needs assessment and creates formal case plan in collaboration with household. Case management services include, but are not limited to: childcare needs, benefits assistance, job readiness/job training, adult and child education/resources, money management, safety, etc.
• Housing and Resource Navigator. Conducts and completes housing assessment and provides resources. Once housing risk is identified, would provide housing navigation services such as, but not limited to: housing resources, communication support (communicating with landlord), housing counseling, financial counseling, conflict resolution, housing search assistance, etc. Guides and walks with families through the process of stabilizing their housing situation.
Eligibility
Households or individuals who are low-income.
Must be a renter at risk of losing home (cannot be homeowners)
Renters can be both traditional and untraditional/informal renters
If an individual/household feels their housing situation is unstable, they may be eligible for services. This can be self-reported.
