Description
SAY San Diego’s Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) Prevention Program is designed to incorporate the concept of community partnerships, the application of new, science-based knowledge of alcohol, tobacco and other drug problem reduction, and the development of a system-wide, outcome-driven prevention strategy to address the increasing trend of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among adolescents in San Diego County. Mobilizing residents of the community is essential to affect environmental and systems change.
Services
SAY’s ATOD Prevention Program includes four different programs. All four programs coordinate community efforts focused on environmental strategies that focus on community systems, policies, and local conditions to affect the environment in which substance abuse occurs: Central Region Prevention Coalition, North Central Prevention Coalition, San Diego Smoke Free Project
Healthy Retailer Program. Provide community retailers FREE pre-inspection and review of their spaces to ensure they are in compliance with federal, state, and local Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drugs laws and regulations in San Diego
Official NARCAN Distributor. Provides FREE NARCAN training and supplies.

Eligibility
Any ATOD retailer in the San Diego area can request evaluation and resource services
