Youth Unite

Description

Youth Unite is a youth-led advocacy coalition for high school-aged youth that live, play, or go to school in or near the communities of Barrio Logan, Logan Heights, and southeastern San Diego. Participants work together to examine and address the root causes of youth substance use and violence, while building leadership and community engagement skills.  Youth Unite meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month 4pm-6pm) at Jackie Robinson YMCA (151 YMCA Way, San Diego, CA 92102).  Follow on Instagram (@youthunitesd) and check out our flyers in both English and Spanish. Services

Youth grow leadership and community connectivity, while learning about the root causes of youth violence and substance use. Members organize and participate in various community activities and events. Students may receive incentives for participation and can receive community service hours, along with letters of recommendation. Dinner is provided at meetings and members receive monthly gift cards for participation.

Youth between the ages of 13 and 18 that live or go to school in or near the communities of Barrio Logan, Logan Heights, and southeastern San Diego.
