St Peter's Basilica:

Massive statue of St.Cajetan in a niche in one of the four columns supporting the Dome. As you reach the altar: Near right facing altar. Sculpted by Carlo Monaldi in 1738 and was commissioned by the Theatines.

Another statue of the Saint, this one still larger, stands outside as one of the set surrounding St.Peter's square on top of the perimiter.

Vatican Pinacoteca:

Attributed to Giovanni Lanfranco is the painting "The Virgin Hands the Child to San Gaetano of Thiene" done around 1620-30. This oil on canvas is believed to have been commissioned by the Theatine Fathers on the occasion of the Beatification of their founder in 1629 (hence the missing halo on San Gaetano). This depiction of his vision reflects the founding moment of the Theatines and their spirituality. In the upper right corner angels are holding an open book bearing the Theatine motto, Quaerite Primum Regnum Dei. With Mary and Baby Jesus, and Gaetano dressed in a cassock, there is another figure which could be either Saint Jerome (mentioned in the letter about the vision) or another Theatine Saint, Andrea Avellino.

Philatelic and Numismatic Office:

In 1946, on the 4th centenary of the Council of Trent, the Vatican issued a set of stamps of the figures connected with the council. One of the set shows San Gaetano in sepia surrounded with a purple background.

In the series of Saints, an Aerogramme (Air letter) was issued in 1998 with the reproduction of part of a painting of San Gaetano by Gianbattista Tiepolo which is now in Vicenza.
