Germany

Bavaria - Oberschweinbach:

The protected chapel chapel St. Kajetan, together with the Spielberg Palace, the charity house, the stables and the barn, forms a closed assembly which encloses the former Klosterhof in Spielberg. The municipality was able to purchase the area from the Franciscan nuns who worked there until 1999. The ensemble were renovated and used as a cultural venue. In the years 2008 and 2009 the chapel and the charity house were repaired. The chapel was built in late Gothic style in 1576. Around 1698 the side chapels were cultivated and the interior was baroque. The three altars also come from this period. A further rebuilding phase can be dated to the year 1758. Further transformations of the interior and of the altars can be found from the 19th and 20th century.

Bavaria - Wolfring:

For over 300 years, a procession was organized from Freihols and Wolfring, two small villages in Bavaria. Around the late 17th century, a terrible cattle disease was raging in the area and Farmers sought the intercession of St Kajetan in their distress. The disease petered out soon after and believers kept the promise of their ancestors to this day. The council of the municipality of Schmidgaden introduced, among some new street names for 1986, one called "Kajetanweg" in honour of our Saint.

There is also a monastery attached to the church.

Upper Swabia - Bad Schussenried

A statuette of Heilige Cajetan by Georg Anton Machein (and workshop, 1715-1717) is part of the decoration in the choir stalls of the former monastery church of St. Magnus.
The headgear our saint is wearing resembles a modern 20th century hat but it seems it was in fashion with the aristocracy, our saint belonging to a rich family before he forsook all riches.

Saxony - Dresden:

A 30.5cm high statue of Heiliger Kajetan by Ignaz Guenther (1725 - 1775). This statue is a Bozzetto or model for a larger one on the front of the Theatinekirche in Munich done in 1766. This gray burnt clay statue is in the Bavarian Rococo style and represents great expression of movement. The hands are clutching a cross while behind his feet is an open book showing the motto: Quaerite primum regnum Dei.
