ReadNote (hereinafter referred to as the 'Company') values the user's personal information and complies with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.

We do not unnecessarily store personal information on our servers except when required for the continuous operation of our services.
Article 1 (Personal Information We Collect)
The Company collects the following personal information for purposes such as membership registration, smooth customer support, and the provision of various services.
① Membership Registration and Account Management
Email Sign-up: Email address
Social Login (Google): Email address, unique user identifier (UID)
Profile Settings: Nickname
② Service Usage Records
Learning Progress Information: Treble clef/bass clef level, experience points (EXP)
Wrong Note Records: Information on incorrect notes and the number of mistakes
③ Paid Service Payments
Purchase history, Google Play order ID, subscription status information
(The Company does not directly collect or store sensitive financial information such as credit card numbers.)
④ Automatically Generated Information
During service use, device information (OS, device model), app version, access logs, cookies, crash logs, and app usage data (Analytics) may be automatically generated and collected.
Article 2 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)
The Company utilizes the collected personal information for the following purposes:
① Service Provision and Member Management
Fulfillment of contracts and settlement of fees for content provision, use of paid services, etc.
Identity verification and personal identification for using membership services
Storage and management of learning progress (level, EXP, wrong notes)
Management of purchase history and subscription status
② Customer Support and Communication
Record keeping for handling complaints and dispute resolution
Assistance with purchase verification and refund processing through order IDs
Delivery of important notices, such as revisions to the Terms of Service
③ Service Improvement and New Development
Analysis of service usage statistics and access frequency
Service improvement and personalized feature recommendations through user pattern analysis
Ensuring app stability through crash log analysis
Development of new learning content and features based on statistical data
④ Establishment of a Secure User Environment
Prevention of unauthorized use by account theft and fraudulent members
Fulfillment of obligations stipulated by relevant laws and regulations
⑤ Advertising Information
The Company does not use in-app advertising and does not collect user data for advertising purposes or provide it to third parties.
Article 3 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Company uses users' personal information within the scope notified in "Article 2 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)" and, in principle, does not use it beyond that scope or provide it to external parties without the prior consent of the user.
However, the following cases are exceptions:
① Payment Processing
Recipient: Google (Google Play)
Purpose: Processing payments for paid services
Items Provided: Payment-related information (the Company does not store sensitive financial information)
② Account Authentication and Service Analysis
Recipient: Google (Firebase)
Purpose: Member authentication, data storage, service usage statistics analysis, crash log analysis
Items Provided: Email, UID, nickname, service usage records, device information, etc.
Article 4 (Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information)
In principle, after the purposes of collecting and using personal information have been achieved, the information is destroyed without delay.
However, if it is necessary to preserve it in accordance with the provisions of relevant laws and regulations, the Company will store member information for a certain period as stipulated by those laws, as follows:
Records on contracts or withdrawal of offers: 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
Records on payment and supply of goods: 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
Records on consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
Article 5 (User Rights and How to Exercise Them)
Users may view or modify their registered personal information at any time and may also request to terminate their membership.
To view or modify personal information, use the 'My Page' or 'Edit Member Information' function. To terminate membership (withdraw consent), you can directly view, correct, or withdraw after going through a self-verification process via customer service.
Article 6 (Protection of Children's Personal Information)
The Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14.
If it is discovered that a child under 14 has registered as a member without the consent of a legal guardian, the Company will take necessary measures, such as deleting the account, without delay.
Parents or legal guardians are requested to guide their children not to provide personal information without permission.
If you believe a child under 14 has provided personal information, please contact the Chief Privacy Officer specified in Article 8.
Article 7 (Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information)
The Company does its best to manage users' personal information securely. However, no transmission of information over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and the Company cannot fully ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit. The transmission of personal information is done at the user's own risk.
