You have already completed the story of Pokémon Hero Legacy and want to play through the game again with specific Pokémon? The "New Game +" mode makes exactly that possible. Please read the following information about this mode and follow the steps listed below if you want to start a new game with your favorite Pokémon.
There are no changes to the story, quests, or other items.
You can transfer between 1–6 Pokémon Eggs from your previous save file into your new game to experience the adventure with them.
You must have seen the credits at least once (won the League Tournament) in order to transfer eggs into a new game.
Thanks to an in-game UI, you can see which Pokémon is inside each egg. Additionally, submitted eggs can be swapped out again, as long as they have not yet been collected in the new game.
Follow these steps to use this mode:
After winning the League Tournament, new buildings will appear in Moana Bay. One of them is the Professor’s Lab. On the first floor, you will find a researcher. You can “donate” up to 6 Pokémon Eggs to him.
Deposited eggs can also be swapped out again, as long as they have not yet been collected in the new game.
In addition to the main save file for the game, a separate file for egg storage is created. This file stores the information about the deposited Pokémon Eggs.
The save files can be found here:
Windows: C -> Users -> YOURNAME -> AppData -> Roaming -> Pokemon Hero Legacy
Mac: Right-click the game -> Show Package Contents -> contents / drive_c / users / kegworks / appdata / roaming / pokemon hero legacy
If you want to keep your old save file, simply copy the file “Game.rxdata” to another location (e.g., a new folder on your desktop). This allows you to switch between multiple save files later, depending on which one is currently in the game folder.
Start a new game once you are ready.
Once you have completed the opening sequence in Moana Bay and are able to move freely, you can collect your Pokémon Eggs. To do so, speak with the researcher north of Misty’s house, at the location where the Professor’s Lab will later be built.
Collect as many eggs as you like and take on the Aoroa Challenge once again.
