The Remrick Empire, known for its magical artistry, pious priests, and dark criminal underworld, the Easternlands hold a deep amount of cultural capital in Illumire. From the three landmasses all centered around a small island the continent of Easternland is one that values trade and power beyond much else. Having invited the Gillmen culture of the Unchartable Sea to assimilate into the conglomerate state it has grown as a world power in both trade and military might, backed exclusively by the Gillmen Trade Company. The country has moved far past its dark upbringing in the hands of the Angorian Lich, and has since made Necromancy and any forms of dark magic strictly illegal. Because of the magical regulation the founding of a state controlled school of magical learning was constructed in 689 and was named after the Magosian Cult: University of the Creatorem.
Since the creation of Stonecity near the beginning of the First Age the city has stood as the nations trading capital but has only been recently transformed to house the Underdark Occupation. The Drow, having secretly destroyed the human government of Remrick took power in 1400, uniting the country under a Blue and Violet Banner. In 1562 the Crowned Lion was added to the banner signifying the Empress of the Nation: Ezilistra.
Remrick is an ancient and complex society. It is said to have been created pulled from the Sea by the Gods and then formed by the Hands of Magos. The manifestation of three stone Stone Cities marked the creation of what would become the Kingdom of Remrick in the year 892 as the Mosian people would arrive to find a newly created paradise on a chain of Eastern Islands. The first of the Stone Cities was named Angorn, lying on the coast in the south west. The second was Batevor the city that lay on the eastern coast. And the last was Caledin a city which has since been lost. The only city which remains occupied is Batevor although now it is only known as Stonecity. While its first occupants originated in Mosian, the human immigrants would create a unique culture founded on principles of arcane progress and religious zeal.
While once close with its neighbors to the west, namely Eldor, the collapse of Mosian led to the loss of travel to Remrick for many years and has shaped the nation as being isolationist and secretive to protect the technologies it has secured as its own.
The practice of Divinity, the worship “of the Divines”, is a common religious belief found in the continent and country of Eldor and Remrick. This religious understanding focuses on the creation of the world found in the religious text “Account of Creation”. The practice of Divinity utilizes the Account as its primary religious text and also supplements the teachings of Oire. Divinity is an institutional practice and is most famously recognized as the national religion of Remrick. The Church of the 4 Divines or The Holy Church of Divinity is the largest contingent of Divinity worshippers in Illumire. Using the names translated into common, the 4 gods worshiped in the Divinity system is Magos, Jinsei, Gnar, and Huru-Hara. The Church of the 4 Divines does not deny the existence of the other gods, instead they promote the worship of the Pantheon, yet the 4 Divines are seen as the primary gods while the lesser gods are considered servants of the 4 Divines who do their bidding.

The oldest city of Remrick the city was said to have been built from the roots of the earth itself. The buildings of the city are made of solid stone, seemingly carved out of a great mountain or grown by some powerful being. Over the ages, the great city has stood as a beacon, the temporary houses of brick and wood burning and falling as the stone quarter remains. The sections of the city which are known as “Old Stone City” are the University and Colosseum Quarters and are the only section of the city that is still made up of the original stone.
The city is split up into 4 quarters, and one sub-quarter: University Quarter, Colosseum Quarter, The Cathedral Quarter, the Gillmen Quarter, and Grey Market. The University Quarter holds the University of the Creator, the foremost college of Magical training in the world. This quarter also holds the newly constructed Kar-Kus Keep made for the Drow rulers of Remrick. The Colosseum Quarter holds the Great Market and the Colosseum of Games, the dwelling place of the god-twin, Spiel (Sir Korigan). The Cathedral Quarter holds the Celestial Cathedral, a convergence between the Astral and Material planes. Also lying in this Quarter is the massive Grey Market which is considered the slums of the city. Finally the Gillmen Quarter stretches beneath the Great Stone Docks of the Colosseum Quarter. This Quarter exists completely underwater and houses the Gillmen Trade Company headquarters.

The Northern Walled city known for bringing about rebels has separated from the kingdom of Remrick repeatedly throughout its history. During the reign of the Kingdom of Angorn, North Remshire was its only open rebel state on the continent. It is one of the only cities throughout Remrick that is completely self-sufficient and deliberately chooses not to trade with the rest of the empire. Once housing it's own kingdom, North Remshire has a large castle at its center which has been, since the fall of the Old Kingdom, used as a garrison. The ruler of North Remshire in modern times is housed in the Manor along the Western Wall. The ruler was pronounced Baron by the Drow in order to maintain peace. The title, which has persisted, belongs to the family that dwells within the manor.
Culturally, Northerners are considered the rebels of Remrick and are constantly fighting with their southern cousins. Based on a system of Order and War the patron gods of North Remshire are Magos and Koyoukai, whom have a joined temple within the city. Every year, to honor these gods, the city hosts tournaments upon the Tournament grounds, and every other day these same grounds are used to train the elite city guard. The last notable feature of the city are the two gates which face south from the city. Only one gate ever stands open, one which is called the gate of order and other the gate of war: one which is open during peace and the other which is open during war.
