The first mention of Time as being is in the Account of Creation, the 4th verse: "Beleg, as Time was named, lay dormant as the void surrounded Areluma. From Space and Time came the four Elements." This writing is the first known mention of the name Beleg or of it being applied to a being of time. In terms of divine studies it is not known whether Beleg is time itself or simply a being which controls time, however he is known to appear throughout history and has been rumored to appear during significant moments in history.
In Eldorian lore, Beleg is portrayed as a ship which sails through the sands of time. Through the studying of portals, the University of the Creatorem in the year 921, discovered the plane at random when attempting use the path of leaves. The resulting portal caused massive ageing and death for some who passed through it and the instructions for summoning of the portal has since been sealed away in the Creatorem Library.
In other cultures, predominately Kaldonian, Beleg is portrayed as a general who crafts history in terms of war and victory shaping the world through conflict. By the dwarves, among whom Beleg is commonly a patron, he is envisioned as an architect or artist carving history from the rough rock of reality. Beleg is mentioned only once in early religious texts from the Account of Creation: "Beleg, as Time was named, lay dormant as the void surrounded Areluma. From Space and Time came the four Elements." Most of the understanding around the deity is taken from lore found in the Arcanium. This has lead to many scholars determining that Beleg himself has contributed to the creation of the Arcanium and may even be the father of the eternal androids who man the great library. This idea is contested by scholars from the University of the Creatorem, who claim Magos is responsible for the technological marvel. In either case the Androids of the Arcanium itself have long forgotten their origins and care not about it since their own history lies beyond the realm of the material plane: the focus of their existence.
Beleg is also the patron deity to many Oracles who see him as the giver of visions and the one who warns against the apocalypse. There are many who also worship Beleg as the redeemer god whose path of history will redeem the world from the ultimate destruction spoken of in the texts of the Apocolyptics.
