Religious Beliefs

With the numerous outer-planar beings manipulating the material plane and its inhabitants there has been a long history of religious ceremony and following throughout Illumire. While in early history it was assumed that all outer-planar beings were either spirits or gods that assumption has changed drastically. Very few outsiders have maintained an academic "god" status, yet there are many outsiders who posses enough power to impersonate or resemble gods to cultures and peoples who have less experience with outsiders. Due to this and a long history of encounters "religion" as we know it has emerged.

These religions and their practices are as varied and complex as the various races and cultures which spread across Illumire. Here we have cataloged and studied the various religious beliefs and religious organizations which have emerged in Illumire.
