𝐈𝐅𝐒𝐔 - 𝐎𝐕𝐏𝐀𝐀 | 𝟐𝟎 𝐍𝐎𝐕. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 || The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) of Ifugao State University (IFSU) convened a special meeting with Section Chiefs and Chairpersons of the Department of Student Services and Development (DSSD) on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the OVPAA Office.

Presided over by Dr. Jennifer Madonna Garingan-Dait, Vice President for Academic Affairs, the meeting served as a strategic platform for settling operational issues and reinforcing institutional protocols across academic support units. The discussions focused on clarifying mandates, aligning functions, and ensuring consistency in the implementation of university standards.

Among the participating units were UNIFAST and other offices affiliated with the DSSD. The meeting also tackled proposed student-centered activities aimed at promoting holistic welfare, engagement, and campus life development. These initiatives are envisioned to complement academic support with responsive, inclusive, and culturally attuned programming.

Dr. Garingan-Dait emphasized the importance of accountability, collaboration, and coherence in delivering student services. She encouraged all unit heads and designated officials to work in synergy toward a unified academic support system that reflects IFSU’s values and mission.

The meeting concluded with shared directions for improving coordination, refining internal processes, and sustaining a culture of operational excellence across all campuses. /amc
