IFSU - OVPAA | 12-18-25 | The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) of Ifugao State University held its Year-End Celebration and Seasonal Gathering on Thursday at the IFSU Lamut Campus Multi-Purpose Hall (MP Hall), bringing together its personnel for a festive and meaningful close to the year marked by appreciation, camaraderie, and the warm spirit traditionally associated with the Christmas season.
The program was led by Dr. Jennifer Madonna G. Dait, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who expressed gratitude to the OVPAA staff and department personnel for their dedication and service throughout the year. Dr. Dait highlighted the office’s accomplishments and emphasized the importance of unity and shared commitment as the university prepares for another cycle of academic operations.
The celebration convened the OVPAA staff and personnel from its six academic support departments: the Department of National Service Training Program, headed by Dr. Leudane L. Loñez; the Department of Sports Development, led by Karen M. Cumti; the Department of Library Services, under Dr. Liza M. Tamargo; the Department of Student Services and Development, directed by Desiree A. Ballitoc; the Department of Culture and the Arts, headed by Lalie Vic A. Cawilan; and the Department of Registrar and Admission Services, led by Jocelyn A. Guimpatan.
The activity featured messages of appreciation, recognition of departmental milestones, and engaging, fun-filled year-end games that added a cheerful and lighthearted atmosphere to the gathering. Personnel also took part in light seasonal engagements that reflected themes of gratitude, generosity, and togetherness, values commonly celebrated during this time of year.
Throughout the program, OVPAA personnel were acknowledged for their contributions to instruction, student development, academic records management, cultural programming, sports initiatives, library modernization, and NSTP implementation. The event served as a venue to honor the collective efforts that supported the university’s academic affairs operations in 2024.
The Year-End Celebration and Seasonal Gathering forms part of IFSU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen workplace rapport and cultivate a supportive, collaborative environment among academic affairs personnel. The activity also symbolized the university’s shared hope and renewed commitment as it transitions into another year of academic service and institutional advancement.
