IFSU Holds Task Force Meeting for ETEEAP Application

𝐈𝐅𝐒𝐔 - 𝐎𝐕𝐏𝐀𝐀 |𝟎𝟏-𝟐𝟏-𝟐𝟔| Ifugao State University (IFSU-OVPAA) held an online meeting today via Zoom to formally begin preparations for its application under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP). The meeting was convened in line with Memorandum Order No. 2026-06 issued by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, directing the creation of a Task Force and benchmarking activities to support the university’s deputization under the program.

The Task Force will consolidate requirements and prepare submissions for identified programs: Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science under the College of Arts and Sciences, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Entrepreneurial Management and Financial Management under the College of Business and Management. Representatives from the concerned colleges, campus executive directors, the OVPAA, and designated faculty experts are tasked to ensure compliance with Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order No. 29, Series of 2021, which sets enhanced policies and standards for ETEEAP implementation.

During the session, officials also discussed the plan to conduct benchmarking at the University of the Cordilleras in Baguio City, where the Task Force will study established practices in ETEEAP implementation, assessment mechanisms, and quality assurance systems. Insights from this activity will serve as reference in finalizing IFSU’s application.

The preparatory timeline was presented, beginning with today’s Zoom meeting, followed by the submission of feasibility study results on February 13, 2026, Academic Board deliberation and endorsement in May 2026, and the submission of application documents to CHED immediately after Academic Board approval.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jennifer Madonna G. Dait emphasized the importance of collective effort among academic leaders and faculty in ensuring that the ETEEAP application is carried out smoothly and successfully.

Today’s meeting marks a significant step in IFSU’s pursuit of ETEEAP deputization, reinforcing the university’s commitment to expanding access to higher education and aligning with national standards for lifelong learning and professional advancement.
