IFSU ACADEMIC LEADERS CONVENE TO ASSESS PROGRAMS
FOR CHED COE ENDORSEMENT
November 5, 2025 – Lamut, Ifugao. In a proactive move toward academic distinction, the Ifugao State University (IFSU) convened a strategic session today led by Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jennifer Madonna G. Dait, bringing together deans from five major colleges to assess their readiness for CHED’s Center of Excellence (COE) and Center of Development (COD) applications.
Held at the Department of Quality Assurance at 10:00 AM, the meeting was attended by the deans of the College of Business Management (Lagawe Campus), College of Criminal Justice Education, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Agriculture and Sustainable Development, and College of Health Sciences.
The gathering was in response to the Commission on Higher Education’s Memorandum dated October 21, 2025, which formally extended the deadline for COE/COD applications to December 31, 2025. The session aimed to evaluate program performance, consolidate supporting documents, and identify strategic areas for enhancement aligned with CHED’s updated criteria.
College representatives came prepared with preliminary data on faculty qualifications, research outputs, licensure performance, and community engagement initiatives. The collaborative effort signals IFSU’s commitment to academic excellence and its aspiration to elevate institutional programs to national recognition.
As Dr. Dait emphasized, “This is more than a compliance exercise, it’s a reflection of our shared pursuit of quality, relevance, and impact in Philippine higher education".
