In line with IFSU’s vision of academic excellence, the OVPAA is implementing a focused eight-month agenda to harmonize academic operations, elevate program standards, and institutionalize evidence-based governance across all campuses.
1. Application for Centers of Excellence (COE) and Development (COD)
Identify priority programs for CHED COE/COD application
Form task groups for documentation and benchmarking
Align submissions with CHED criteria, AUN-QA, ISO, and accreditation results
Target: Submit at least five program applications by December 2025
Analyze board exam performance for curriculum enhancement
Monitor faculty hiring trends and reinvest savings into faculty development
Establish quarterly analytics reports for policy decisions
Target: Institutionalized reporting by Q1 2026
3. Review of Faculty and Student Manuals
Update policies on workload, promotion, academic integrity, flexible learning, and mental health
Ensure alignment with CHED directives and inclusive practices
Target: Revised manuals ready for BOR endorsement by Q1 2026
4. Micro-credentials, ODeL and Short Courses
Launch modular, stackable programs aligned with CHED’s framework
Develop pilot offerings in Agri-Entrepreneurship, IKSP, Digital Literacy, Social Work, and Tourism
Employ Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL) to support flexible access, continuity, and inclusive delivery across diverse learning contexts
Target: Six pilot programs launched by May 2026
5. Curriculum Reframing (AUN-QA Alignment)
Conduct curriculum mapping workshops across colleges
Align ILOs, CLOs, and PLOs with AUN-QA standards
Integrate sustainability, innovation, and digital literacy
Target: Four Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) completed by mid-2026
6. Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Policy
Develop institutional BCP for academic resilience during crises
Conduct risk assessments and simulation testing
Integrate with QA and risk management systems
Target: Approved BCP Policy by Q2 2026
7. JC 3 Implementation and Monitoring
Establish dashboard to track faculty qualifications and program compliance
Coordinate with HR and QA for documentation and validation
Target: Operational dashboard by June 2026
8. Faculty Development and Academic Innovation
Launch enhancement series on curriculum, QA, and micro-credentials
Promote research-teaching integration and AI policy for learning
Target: Institutionalized faculty development programs
Strengthen OVPAA departments: Registrar, Library, DSSD, NSTP, Socio-Cultural Affairs, Capacity Building, Sports
Develop operational action plans aligned with strategic priorities
Target: Unified departmental contributions to academic advancement
Forge partnerships for student and faculty exchange
Develop mobility framework with credit transfer and mentoring support
Align with AUN-QA internationalization standards
Target: Initial outbound placements and guidelines by Q2 2026
