IFSU OVPAA |12-15-25| The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) convened its Department Directors today for an internal Academic Target‑Setting Session, reinforcing the University’s unified direction for fiscal year 2026 following the Strategic Assessment and Target‑Setting Workshop held earlier this month in Aurora.
During the session, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jennifer Madonna G. Dait led the alignment of the University’s cascaded 2026 targets with the operational commitments of each OVPAA department. The meeting ensured that departmental Office Performance Commitment and Review (OPCR) documents accurately reflected the University’s four flagship goals: Academic Excellence; Strong Research Leadership and Culture; Sustainable Extension and Community Engagement; and Excellent Public Service and Good Governance.
Department Directors reviewed and refined their quarterly deliverables, performance indicators, and compliance requirements to ensure consistency with the University’s institutional commitments. The alignment process covered key areas such as accreditation, COPC compliance, COE/COD development, TESDA‑aligned certifications, graduate employability, licensure examination performance, scholarship distribution, priority program enrollment, instructional materials development, faculty qualifications, internationalization initiatives, and student services satisfaction.
Dr. Dait emphasized the importance of internal coherence and accountability, noting that the OVPAA’s targets must directly support the University’s broader performance indicators and regulatory obligations. The session also provided an avenue for clarifying departmental roles, identifying support needs, and strengthening coordination mechanisms for effective implementation
Following the deliberations, each department finalized its OPCR, ensuring that all commitments were aligned with the OVPAA’s consolidated targets for 2026. These completed OPCRs will serve as the basis for performance monitoring and evaluation throughout the year, guiding operations with precision and strategic intent.
Today’s Academic Target‑Setting Session marks a crucial step in preparing the OVPAA for the implementation phase of the University’s 2026 agenda, reinforcing its commitment to evidence‑based planning, performance rationalization, and continuous quality improvement across all units.
