The first Mills known to have resided in Lissan parish, in Loughinsholin Barony was a widow listed in the 1740 census of Protestant Householders.She may the grandmother of :

1. the Matthew Mills that the 1827 Tithe Applotment Book lists in Drumard
2. also the three Mills listed in the 1827 Tithe Applotment Book and 1831 census lists in Caneese, Lissan parish:
