Version Updates 2020

January 2020

General

    • Improved View of discourse units
      • Expanded items labeled "phrase" or (compound) "word" to their more verbose content in the View and in linked contexts
      • Added links to the View, to expose, e.g., audio files (language learning), or images (CEDAR)
    • Enhanced publication features
      • From the "Other" Criteria of a Query you can now select "Since last published" as the Date last modified. This will find all items in the chosen Category that have been modified since they had been published, suggesting that the resulting list of items need to be republished. Save the query results to a Set and republish all the items in the Set from the option on the Utilities tab.
      • If published items are deleted, OCHRE will un-publish them first.

CEDAR

    • Enhanced Critical View so that it can be based on solely discourse content (no epigraphic necessary). For an example, see the View of the Common Parlance text.
    • Introduced Illustrated View to support the reading of a Shakespeare play, for example. Includes a Cast of Characters feature (who is on stage?) and an Inventory of Props feature (what is on stage?).
    • Introduced the Textual Matrix View to support the analysis of texts based on the cuneiform script. See the example for the Epic of Gilgamesh.
    • Introduced the Reconstruction Tool in support of digital paleography.
