Drag & Drop to Add Resources

You can add a resource as a linked item simply by dragging it from your Windows Explorer or Finder window and dropping it in the Other links pane on the Links tab. (Note that this works with a selection of multiple files too.)

When you drop the file in the Other links pane, a pop-up window asks you to choose a Resource folder as the destination of the newly added resource.

It will also ask if you want to default to the selected folder for the duration of your session, so that it doesn't have to ask you again.

Alternately, you can drag and drop a file on a resource hierarchy to add it to that hierarchy. NOTE: this alternate method does not create a link between the image and another database item.

If you navigate to the Resources hierarchy to view the images that have been added, you may need to Refresh the list to update it. Select the hierarchy then click the Refresh button shown below.

OCHRE can use a server FTPS connection to upload the resource to your project server. Server details including paths, file extensions, and credentials can be entered on the destination hierarchy.

Contact ODS staff for assistance configuring access, paths, file transfer, and other details.
