By Miller Prosser, October 2015

To download image resources to a local drive using OCHRE, use one of the following methods.

Keep in mind, a project administrator can restrict access to download images by User.

Save an Image from a View

1. View an image resource.

2. Click the save button on the toolbar (the small diskette icon at the right of the image above).

3. Choose a location to save the image.

4. Name the resource, including a file type.

5. OCHRE will generate a new image based on this input.

(NOTE: this method is used when the project has not configured an FTP server.)

Save the Full Resolution Image

1. View an image resource.

2. Click the picture frame icon on the toolbar to load the full resolution image (if available).

3. Click the save button on the toolbar.

4. Choose a location to save the image. You will not be prompted for a file name because this method downloads the file from your project server.

(NOTE: this method requires an FTP server.)

Save a Set of Images

1. Create a set.

2. Add resources to the set.

3. Create a presentation hierarchy.

4. Link the newly created set as the source of the download index.

Use the link manager to find the newly created set. Link it as the source of the download index.

5. View the presentation.

6. Use the check boxes to select the TYPE of images to download (basic image, preview, PTM file, RAW images).

NOTE: if you choose to download unedited RAW files, you may need to click the green check mark to choose which of the PTM batch to download.

7. Use the check boxes to select which resources to download.

8. Browse to select the location on your local drive where the downloaded items will be saved.

9. Click the PERFORM button to execute the download.

Don't forget to select (1) type of images and (2) specific resources.

NOTE: The download will only succeed if the selected images exist at the specified locations.
