An important note about color:
I'm red/green color blind (strong Deutan) so the color of the images will probably be really strange. For the most part they are what SharpCap's auto color gives.
Requirements and Rules
Complete the Double Star Observing Program prior to submitting for certification in the Multiple Star Observing Program.
Observe 100 selected objects on the included list. There are fourteen extra systems that are optional and interchangeable with the primary list and eight systems with orbital pairs that can be measured.
Any 100 of the 114 listed stars may be observed to qualify for your certificate and pin.
The objects may be sketched or recorded by electronic imaging. If it is not possible to split a close pair with your equipment you can designate the outer companions.
Observations should include: object name, date and time (local or UT), Latitude and Longitude, power(s), seeing and Transparency, instrument used, and a drawing or image of the multiple star system. There is a line for a description, although not required, it is encouraged.
When submitting electronic observations provide camera type, exposure times, ISO, plate scale, processing details, or other data to go along with the photo.
Please show north and either east or west in your drawing/image and make sure your depiction of the primary star is clear to a viewer. Position angles of the stars will be judged by your denotation of the cardinal compass points. Measurement of the position angles and separations are optional, notating separations in arc seconds and position angles in degrees from north through east.
Measuring orbital pairs may done by plate solving from your electronic imaging.
When I did the Double Star Program I chose to both image and measure the separations and position angles of all targets. The data can be found by following the link to my Double Star log.
I have chosen to image the targets of the Multiple Star Observing Program with the remote telescope(s) of Slooh (www.slooh.com). All imaging targets were scheduled by my picking a specific time, scope and by selecting the objects from a catalog (NGC, IC, UGC) or by entering the coordinates. This meets the AL’s definition of an acceptable remote telescope.

Slooh has multiple locations and eight scopes. I originally thought it best to try to capture all multiple stars with the same equipment so direct comparisons can be made when possible. I chose to use the Canary Four telescope because it picks up all northern targets and has the smallest field of view. The one major limitation of using Canary Four is that the shortest exposure time is twenty seconds which causes saturation and bloating on brighter stars. This saturation/bloating problem means that separations below about eight arcseconds are impossible.
After imaging about eighty of the multiple stars I'd swept the available night sky clean and paused for a while. One day I checked out what the Chile locations and scopes might do for the program. I found that while the FOV was about twice as large and the pixel scale was 1.67x on the Chile One scope it had a minimum exposure of 5 seconds. Another plus of the Chile location was that southern declination targets were available sooner in the morning than in the Canary Islands. As a result, many of the the final twenty of the multiple stars were imaged from Chile One.
Slooh doesn't furnish seeing or transparency data but it does show a nightly Sky Rating that includes temperature, humidity, dew point, wind speed, and ranking (1-5)

Slooh provides images in two formats that have been automatically dark frame & flat field calibrated, jpg and fits. At the Astronomer level the user is allowed to pick a "preset" that adjusts exposure, gamma and stretch for the jpgs but leaves fits files unchanged. My initial attempts made use of the Multi-Lum 20 preset for the jpgs but I changed this option to Bright Stars as I progressed through the targets. While the Multi-Lum 20 gave the same exposure for the targets, the preset's stretching seemed to saturate more. Slooh's exposure times are controlled via the preset with the shortest Canary Island time of twenty seconds.
The separations and position angles were measured with AstroImageJ after a plate solve using Astrometry.net. Since the images had been stretched a bit in PhotoShop I'm not reporting the delta magnitudes for the stars. A typical image (AstroImageJ) showing labeled directions and field of view information can be seen on the left. Since all targets were imaged with the same scope/camera the information holds for all targets including Chile One.
Note that North is UP (.41 degrees off true north) and East is to the RIGHT. I believe AstroImageJ accounted for the minor rotation when measuring the position angles.
The directions are the same with the Chile 1 scope.
